Our Philosophy of Care: Guided by CQC Quality Statements and I-Statements

Our philosophy of care at Jumolex Domiciliary Care Agency is deeply rooted in the principles of person-centred care, dignity, respect, and choice, and is inextricably linked to the CQC’s Quality Statements and the fundamental ‘I-Statements’ that reflect the experiences of those receiving care. We believe that every individual has the inherent right to:

  • Kindness, Compassion and Dignity (Quality Statement 15): We ensure that “I am always treated with kindness, empathy and compassion, and my privacy and dignity are respected.” Our staff are trained to deliver care with genuine warmth and respect, recognizing the intrinsic worth of each person.
  • Independence, Choice and Control (Quality Statement 17): We actively promote and facilitate the experience that “I know my rights and have choice and control over my own care, treatment and wellbeing.” Our care plans are co-produced, reflecting individual preferences and decisions.
  • Assessing Needs (Quality Statement 9): We commit to the principle that “I receive care and support that is based on a comprehensive assessment of my needs, preferences, and aspirations.” Our assessment processes are thorough and involve the service user and their advocates at every stage.
  • Involving People to Manage Risks (Quality Statement 4): We work to ensure that “I am involved in understanding and managing risks to my safety in a way that supports my independence and enables me to do the things that matter to me.” Risk assessments are collaborative and empowering.
  • Learning Culture (Quality Statement 1): We foster an environment where “I feel safe and confident that any concerns about my safety will be investigated thoroughly, and lessons learned to improve care.” Our open culture encourages feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Person-Centred Care (Quality Statement 20): We strive for “I am at the centre of my care and treatment choices, and decisions about changes in my needs are made in partnership with me.” Our care is dynamic and adapts to evolving needs through shared decision-making.
  • Listening to and Involving People (Quality Statement 23): We ensure that “It is easy for me to share feedback and ideas or raise complaints about my care, treatment and support, and I am involved in decisions about my care and told what’s changed as a result.” Our feedback mechanisms are accessible and responsive.

Our philosophy is not merely a statement; it is embedded in our daily practices, staff training, and continuous quality improvement processes. We strive to build trusting relationships with our service users and their families, fostering an environment where open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making are paramount.

We are the glorious safe-stop to your health care necessities
